image cat (image-cat.com) is a free toolkit of 25+ tools to compress, convert, resize, retouch and run on-device AI on images — built around one principle: your files never leave your device.
Everything runs in your browser
Compression, format conversion, resizing, background removal and AI upscaling all run locally using WebAssembly and WebGPU. There is no server that receives your images, no account to create and no per-file limit. The on-device AI cutout uses MODNet and upscaling uses Swin2SR (both Apache-2.0 licensed), so even the “AI” features keep your photos on your machine.
Who builds it
image cat is part of Solmoor, a small independent family of privacy-respecting web tools. We build focused, single-purpose tools that do one job well without ads-everywhere, forced sign-ups or hidden uploads.
How it stays free
